weight lost during twin pregnancy | Art Market Goodness

weight lost during twin pregnancy

39 Weeks day after Art Market with my new favorite Light+Nest bag!

Well for weeks now,  I have been sewing my rear off! Ha!  Lets just say that preparing for the art market was a challenge that showed to be a little more tiring than normal on my 9 month pregnant body. Staying up until 2 or 3 in the morning putting the finishing touches on my dolls and creating button baubles and trinkets proved to be exhaustingly wonderful and really rewarding. I was even dreaming about polyfill and stuffing doll legs and arms. Wheres that darn chop stick stuffing tool? haha. Thread shreds and fabric clippings were all over my floor and my clothes. I dont know how many bobbins I filled or how many thousands of stitches I stitched on my sewing machine. It was and is all worth it though! :)

Like I mentioned previously, my Charlie & Nell doll business is paying for our little boys preschool.  And, I am happy to announce that at the art market this past weekend, I was able to make almost 3 months of preschool tuition for Forest boy. (Taking a bow.)  I have to say that watching little girls and their moms getting excited as they picked out their favorite dolly was the most rewarding sight to my heart. It made me so happy! I have about 6 more dolls finished now to put up on my site and about 20 more that just need to be pieced together before the holiday season creeps up on me. :)  (I would love a good 3 week crafting break after our baby #2 is born, so Im still sewing to have a buffer time.)

Tomorrow is my due date and there has been a little action moving towards labor. But so far, theres just been a steady progression, nothing drastic. So, I still have lots of last minute preparing going on! These next few days Ill be making a couple of baby mobiles out of old books, making space for our Natures Sway baby hammock in our bedroom and purging until I feel my home is clutter free and fresh enough. #nesting haha. Hopefully Ill be able to take some pretty pictures of the new dolls for sale and put them up on my site by this late afternoon. If not by then, definitely by tomorrow.

So until our new little sweetheart makes his debut, I will be working away over here....

Happy weekend to you!!!

The best feeling...just waiting to be finished.
antique key necklaces on vintage lace and trim plus button earrings from the 1930s-1950s.
I didnt take a pic of my booth until I had been partially cleared out...
Fun, rustic growth chart kits I make.
My new favs...Im kinda obsessed with making them. Sleepy time faces on one side, awake-happy faces on the other. I even weighted the raindrops a bit... Presh! Great to make with left over vintage fabrics! Im going to play around with making some that I can use in the boys room.
first ever business cards, kinda feel legit.

post pregnancy weight loss diet chart | Letters Of Love Ink

post pregnancy weight loss diet chart

Another amazing video my guy, Samuel created for us.

For quite a long time, Sam and I had been throwing around the idea of one day getting matching tattoos that said, "i love him" and "i love her." Neither one of us had ever gotten a tattoo before, so it was kind of a big decision. We thought about it for a couple of years and finally decided we really wanted to do it. The style had to be unique, simple and romantic. Being a girl who has a secret passion for certain styles of tattoo art, I knew what I liked and what I didnt like. I was super attracted to script tattoos that werent your standard font, but handwritten and a tad messy. I constantly was writing our idea out on paper, on our arms and our wrists with sharpie or ink pens, trying to narrow down placement and size. I was thinking maybe my own handwriting might work? But, Im pretty critical of anything I sketch or create and knew I wouldnt want to look down at my arm and see my  own penmanship permanently inked there. Once its there, its there baby. Id find something about my handwriting that Id want to change. When I settled into this realization, the hunt began.

Ive admired the work of  wedding calligrapher Mara, from Neither Snow for a couple of years. Shes been featured on all the big wedding blogs. She is seriously just so AMAZING and inspiring.  So, when I found out that she occasionally designs tattoos for clients, I got really excited. Her style was exactly what I had in my mind. It is light and breezy and very unique. I can be on any blog and know when I see Maras work. Her style makes me feel like Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice who just finished a quickly written love letter or something.  I presented the idea to Sam and he agreed that her style was perfect for us. I contacted Mara and set up a tattoo appointment around the time of our anniversary! Which was the fall of last year.

We couldnt be more pleased with how they turned out! My left arm now has "i love him" imprinted on it and Sams has "i love her." We were originally going to have them much smaller but realized the calligraphy wouldnt be as dramatic on a tiny scale. So, Sam decided at the tattoo parlor that we should go big or go home. ha.

My heart is so happy when I look down at my arm. I get little flutters of romantic artsy-ness. We did this because were crazy and in love. Its one of my favorite things that weve ever done together and will always be a sweet memory of our friendship and the heart romance I share with this guy named Samuel. ;)

You know, a couple of weeks after we got these, we found out we were pregnant with baby Windland, who we lost in November. There were moments when I would be grasping for goodness in the middle of confusion. The simple nothing of a tattoo with the words, "i love him" permanently scribbled on my arm would in a small way remind me of love. The love that Sam and I have, even in hard times. Im always amazed at how things effect my heart in moments when I dont expect them to. Who would have thought a tattoo of all things could do something like that?
